Lucky Black Cat…?

This time of year I always find myself musing over how society views black cats. How different countries attribute their own superstitions to them, how mythology perceives them and how lore surrounding them is radically diverse.

Black cats have inspired some of the most famous stories (The Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe, being an example that springs to mind immediately) and multiple art pieces. (Chat Noir by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen adorns multiple walls of homes, mine included.)
