Time, love and tenderness…
Sporadically I check for interesting news articles featuring cats. I find it fascinating how they’re mostly still viewed in a societal sense as cold and aloof. In my experience, that’s absolutely not the case. They can be guarded, cautious, wary about who they give affection to. But definitely not uncaring.
This news article illustrates that perfectly.

Marley provides emotional support for women when they most need it. Cats have in the past, shown remarkable levels of what seems to be empathy when I have exhibited distress too.
Like people, they often respond and react to surroundings and instinctual signals. So at least a part of their behaviour is likely to be related to experiences that they’ve had. I’d be interested to know Marleys background before he took on his role at the safe haven, but I’m glad he’s found a home where he’s loved and helps people to feel safe again.
