I can’t hear you…

There’s a post I see from time to time about how cats understand what you’re saying, but they’re choosing to ignore it.
From this recent study, that possibility is further cemented.

Because we love our cats so much, there are definitely times it’s possible we might anthromorphosize them a little. But obviously the opposite can be a very real risk; not recognising the level of awareness a cat has and seeing how their surroundings impact them can definitely happen. If we acknowledge that, it can sometimes help pinpoint the cause of a “problem behaviour.”

Remembering that just because a cat processes differently, doesn’t mean they’re less emotionally impacted is extremely important in caring for your feline family.
