Making the most of your vertical space – a review
As a seasoned cat slave, I’ve noticed a massive increase in the options available for activity centres in the last ten years or so.
I recently decided that it was time my cats got to make use of some of the vertical space in our home while increasing scratching surfaces to reduce possible damage to the soft furnishings
After spending some time poring over the options available, I decided on the Catherine Cat Tree from Zooplus.
On arrival of the centre, you’re faced with a flat pack and instructions which can be daunting if you aren’t a fan of DIY in any way. But the instructions are simple to follow and the post fits together easily.
The dimensions mean the post can sit in the corner of a room, which is wonderful if you’ve one near a door because your cat has a wonderful vantage point if your cats are the type to perform guard duty.
The post had literally just been finished being put together and one of The Mob climbed on it so it was definitely an instant hit. I’d recommend this post to anyone with rather limited space and maybe one or two cats sharing their home.
(As an aside, The Mob got treated to a second large activity centre from Zooplus; The Rapunzel, which is equally popular but substantially larger.)
