Belated Happy St Gertrudes Day….

March 17th is well known for being St Patricks Day. Less well known, is that it’s also the day where people celebrate the memorial of St Gertrude.
St Gertrude holds patronage over a lot of things, including gardeners, travellers, widows and the mentally ill. But it doesn’t appear to be until the 80’s that she obtained the label “Patron Saint of Cats.”
