Education is key…
A recent interaction with a family who adopted a cat only to find he had issues they were unaware of, and a comment that was made during the exchange further reinforced the importance of knowing your animals. The comment was “Cats are such sensitive animals, I’ve learned a lot this past year.”
So many people are unaware of the degree of complexities when it comes to feline psychology. And sadly, even the basic information isn’t always obtained before taking on a cat to be a part of someone’s family.
Cats Protection has launched some educational material on their site to encourage responsible cat care from an early age. You can view it by following the link which takes you to their site:

As with any animal, you will always be learning new and interesting things about them. But a solid base to build on ensuring you can care for your cat to the best of your ability will always be a positive.
