Love is in the air…

A common misconception is that cats don’t like to share their space with other felines. While that may be true for some, many benefit greatly with same species companionship. This has been illustrated in a previous blog that mentioned studies on feral colonies.

To mark St Valentines Day, here are a couple of feline duos in rescue looking for families to love them as much as they love each other.

“Meet Tom and Jerry. They are looking for their forever home together. Tom and Jerry are looking for a calm and peaceful home. Jerry is quite the love bug, happily accepting of cuddles and such a friendly sweet boy. Tom is very nervous about new surroundings and is taking a little longer to trust. He’s ok with a quick head rub and is getting better daily. His foster mum has set up a camera in their room and has watched Tom coming out from under his blanket and playing with the toys and Jerry. Please no children as they need peace and quiet to settle and loud noises will startle them. A home where the new owner is willing to help them settle and gradually build their trust with time and patience. They are a beautiful pair of boys. If you would like more information please pm the page. We reserve the right to home Tom and Jerry to the most suitable home for them.”

“Please say a big ‘hello’ to Kitty and Teddy, who are 2 adorable 5-month-old kittens. This lovely brother and sister duo have come on leaps and bounds since receiving lots of TLC in their foster home. They enjoy lots of fuss and attention and they will be a welcome addition to most homes. We are looking for a 5 star home for Kitty and Teddy together, as they do enjoy each others company. If you can offer a loving home, please send your full address and a contact number. As usual, we cannot rehome to families with children under 5.”
